Privacy policy
This site stores an email address you submit to the updates list and the details you send through the contact form, and uses the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement — in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland only after you accept advertising cookies.
Data we collect today
email addresses submitted to the updates list; the name, email, optional order number and message you send through the contact form, plus a one-way hashed visitor fingerprint and browser user-agent used only to limit spam. Order and payment details are handled by Shopify at checkout.
How contact messages are stored
contact messages are written to a private database table that cannot be read from the website. They are accessible only to authorized people who administer this site, through our hosting provider's secure database console.
Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)
we use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms to measure the results of our advertising. It sets cookies and sends Meta the page you viewed, the product you viewed, items you add to your cart, when you start checkout, and the related price and currency, together with your IP address and browser details. This data is used for measurement and ad optimisation. No email address, name or other contact detail is ever sent to Meta from this site. If you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, or your region cannot be determined, a short banner asks for your choice first: the pixel is not loaded and no data is sent until you accept advertising cookies, and rejecting keeps it off. Your choice is stored in your browser so the banner does not reappear, and you can change it at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer — revoking stops all further data being sent, though data already sent cannot be recalled. Elsewhere the pixel loads without a banner and you can opt out through your Meta ad preferences or by blocking advertising cookies in your browser. Essential cookies for your cart, currency and this choice are always on. Basic commerce events are also held in your browser's memory for the current page session only.
Processors
our hosting and database provider stores updates-list emails and contact messages; Shopify processes checkout and payment data; an email delivery provider sends the confirmation and notification messages triggered by the contact and updates-list forms.
